Blue Sky Building Company LLC was created in 2004 in response to the need in the area for a small, first class building company. Although the name is new, my experience is not.

I've been in the building business for almost 20 years now. The last 7 years have been spent building custom homes of varying size and scope from Chapel Hill, NC to Sunset Beach, NC. This range of product, from private estates on special lots to move-up homes in gated communities, has allowed me to assimilate local knowledge after relocating from Pennsylvania. While in Pennsylvania, I built new homes along Lake Erie for 10 years. It would be an understatement to say that this really helped me to understand the need for strong, energy efficient construction. Prior to that, I did some commercial framing, residential and commercial flooring, roofing and general renovations.

It all started with my father, as a general contractor in Pittsburgh, and I’ve never been able to get it out of my blood…nor do I want to. He’s gone now, but the values and ethics he instilled in me are still here and will always be a part of what I do. It is who I am. - Thanks Dad.

It's a big investment to build that dream home you've been planning for years now. Or, maybe you're planning to finally tackle that major renovation. You need someone who cares and who will provide the level of customer service you deserve and expect. That's my goal.

There are a bunch of general contractors out there and there are a bunch of people who are trying to be general contractors. If you are looking for a large construction firm with multiple levels of management, high overhead and a molasses approach to change, I'll provide you with some names and phone numbers. If you're looking for a small builder, who will actually listen, care and act on your concerns, then we need to talk.

Finding people who are willing to take your money in the construction industry is easy. Just look for the builder who avoids their past and current clients at the grocery store, at the movies, mall, etc. Neither of us will benefit from a "flash in the pan" relationship that ends when we complete your project. I want you as a client, as a referral and as a friend.
