Heading into the 2010 North Carolina Home Builders Association Annual STARS Awards Contest was humbling.  Last year we came away with four winners.  We felt as if we would be found out now as the small builder from the coast and there would be no way we could repeat.  There are just too many talented craftsmen in North Carolina.

This year we entered two previous Brunswick County Parade of Homes Diamond Award winners.  Villa Toscana was an Italian themed home set with views of holes 7, 15 and 16 of Tiger’s Eye Golf Links.  The second home was Hemingway’s Cottage, a coastal cottage straight from Pottery Barn catalogs.  This home sits in the middle of Panther’s Run Golf Links.

What a humbling experience to be announced as winners again this year.  Hemingway’s Cottage was announce as the first place STARS Award winner in the $500,000 to $750,000 price category of all single family homes.  Then to our delight, Villa Toscana won the first place STARS Award for single family homes in the $750,000 to $1 million category.   So not only did these two custom homes we sweep the $500,000 to $1 million price range of all single family homes in North Carolina, we had one more surprise.  Villa Toscana also was awarded the first place STARS Award for the Best Special Feature – Wine Room for it’s climate controlled wine room complete with concrete floor, stone wall and wooden beams.

We express immense heartfelt gratitude to our entire team of professional craftsmen as well as to the best clients in the world.
